EMULSION COATER

PRODUCT:

Manual tool for emulsion coating.

USE:

Emulsion coating on screen printing meshes.

CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Anodized aluminum profile, ergonomically designed to facilitate uniform emulsion coating.
  • Special shape for easier handling and cleaning after use.
  • Different edges allow thicker or thinner coats, as needed.
  • Made of corrosion resistant anodized aluminum.
  • Plastic ends are simple to remove for easy cleaning.
  • The shape of the ends allows an adequate contact to the screen, assuring an excellent coating angle.
  • From 8 cm (3 inches) up to 300 cm (9,8 feet).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Pour the emulsion into the coater (Fig. 1). Choose the adequate edge: - Thin edge: thinner coats - Thick edge: thicker coats/p>

With the screen in standing position, place the edge in contact with the lower end of the screen (Fig. 2). Rotate the coater until the sides touch the mesh (Fig. 2b).

Move the coater upwards.

When getting close to the end, turn the coater before lifting it off the screen (Fig. 3).

Repeat the operation on the print side and on the squeegee side until the desired coating thickness is achieved.

OBSERVATION:

Always use a coater which covers the whole width of the screen. Do not use a small coater in several parallel strokes. This would produce a layer of irregular thickness.

CLEANING:

After using the coater, return the remaining emulsion to its original container. Rinse the coater with water.
For better cleaning, remove the plastic ends.
When attaching the plastic ends, pay attention to the correct position of the edges (Fig. 4).
