ALKALINE PASTE

PRODUCT:

Alkaline Paste (Super or Normal).

FORM:

Paste.

USES:

Reclaiming screen printing stencils (haze remover).
Degreasing the mesh.

PROPERTIES:

  • Removes ghost images, ink and emulsion residues, leaving the mesh completely clean. Thus it is possible to achieve perfect image reproduction on reclaimed screens.
  • When used as a degreaser, dissolves completely all types of greases and removes impurities, cleaning the mesh and improving the adhesion of films and emulsions.

INSTRUCTIONS: Removing ghost images and residues of inks and emulsions (Fig. 1).

After removing the emulsion, with HB50 Stencil Remover (decoater), dry the mesh. Apply the HB52 Remover of Ink Residues with a nylon brush on both sides of the mesh. Apply HB54 Alkaline Paste and mix both products on the screen, covering completely all the stained areas (Fig. 2).

For strong stains an alternatives process can be used. After applying the pre mixed products (HB52 and HB54) on the screen, use a printing squeegee to force the products to penetrate into the mesh (one squeegee stroke on each side).

HB54 Super can be used with all types of HB52 (Paste, Liquid, Extra, Eco or Gel). HB54 Normal is for use with HB52 Liquid, Eco or Extra.

Leave for 15 minutes (longer time may damage polyester meshes).

Wash thoroughly with running water to remove all product residues. Then wash with high pressure water (Fig. 3).

The mesh will be completely clean (Fig. 4).

When used on polyester meshes, the product should be neutralized, after the cleaning process. Apply a mixture of acetic acid (5% in water) or vinegar. Wash with running water.

HB54 SUPER - Contains components that are more active, for removing the most difficult stains.

INSTRUCTIONS: Mesh degreasing

Degrease the mesh just prior to coating the emulsion or film.

Wet the stretched mesh with water (Fig. 5).

Apply HB54 with a soft nylon brush. Gently brush it over the whole surface, on both sides of the fabric (Fig. 6).

Wash with water until all product is dissolved and no residues are left (Fig. 7).

When used on polyester meshes, the product should be neutralized. Apply a mixture of acetic acid (5% in water) or vinegar. Wash with water.

Dry the screen completely before coating the emulsion or film.

Do not touch the mesh after the treatment (Fig. 8).
